I don't think the arm difference affects the flow or volume. My bird was running the same as with the old pump for the 100 miles that the new pump lasted.

If it were my car, I would hold out for a close dated 704, since that is the correct one for your car. They are not rare, just may take a bit to find the date code that works.

A lot of times, it is not that the threads are rusted but that the nut is rusted to the line itself. Spray the PB or Kroil in between the line and the nut, as well as into the threads.
