I'd drain the oil ckg for metal first. Just to give you an idea. I'd pull motor also. I've done pan removal in A body,2nd gen. Remove engine.

Yes interesting information. Something to think about. In my daily 2500 2015 GMC I use Sunoco regular,and dexos oil. In my 455 TA I use Sunoco 94 and Pennzoil 10x40.

I often have wondered same thing. I would guess everything is maxed out. GMs have the $$$$ metric trans. Maybe even some port work with acid. Stock lift cams though. Blocks are machined perfectly....
