yes, TPS required the 3 prong plug to open and close the solenoid. Hence why our '70 carbs don't have any ported vacuum openings.

I agree w/ you. Not having the 3 prong sensor makes me suspicions but everything i look up seems to think you can use the same sensor for 64-72 gtos.

That's the main reason i'm not convinced...
