Weld a 5/16" socket to a rod and put in a drill...

Weld a 5/16" socket to a rod and put in a drill chuck. Make sure you weld it cause if it falls off.................

Make sure the 12v lead is connected at your cap...

Make sure the 12v lead is connected at your cap tightly. Mine pulled out once and killed the motor right there.The wire is kinda pinkish -red and goes in the top of the cap next to the tach-coil...

PS, I know its a ways off but who's going to the TA nationals in Ohio for Aug '05. I'm gonna do the 7 hour drive in the TA. Already got the room booked. Hope to meet some of the cool people on here.....

Olds is dead-on correct about not using the turkey tray. Mondell's also agreed. They sell em but dont recommend em. Go with the gasket on each head. Coat the water jacket on BOTH sides with RTV...

Thanks for All the info. I scored a new in the box 3711 yesterday at a car show. 7111's will fit but the footnote says the shaker won't work. This 3711 along with my factory Q-Jet will fit just fine....
