I had the same delima on my 67 YS 400 auto
with a/c. I had run a 1975 Q-jet for years on it not knowing that the vacuum was manifold and not port, basically 180 degrees out of phase for the car!!...

Everyone is correct... you WILL need to pull the engine out. I currently am having this done with the newer poly seal and the engine HAS to come out.
