I think they thought there was a lot of weight hanging on the rear so they put a brace on it at the rear?


Most of the time I never put that back on because it's a pain...

The wire for the solenoid I would use at least 12 gauge. What factory was I believe. Solenoid draw can be around 45 amps or more.
Coil not for sure maybe a couple amps.

It's probably flopping open to quick. There is a little spring adjustment on the top. Or could be the vacuum dashpot also maybe.
