That's a decent driver in my neck of the woods. Before the economy took a nose dive it could have brught up to $5,000 or so. Now probably more like $3,000 +/-. All the 2nd gen cars around here either...

The only way to tell if your car came with the turbo wheels would be the build sheet. Of course it is possble that the selling dealer swapped wheels with a turbo car inorder to make good with another...

They were custom built by different companies both in the US and in Canada. Warbird (George) has had one for a long time. Maybe he'll see this post up a pic of his.

My daughter used to watch that movie everyday. She loved it. I didn't realize that there was a T/A in the movie until I caught a scene. Of course I had to watch the rest of the movie. ;)

I meant Firebird tuner cars (Mechams Macho T/A come to mind). I do recall seeing that style on other models of cars and trucks. Looks like a J.C. Witney cover car.

The pair I have are 7.5" wide. I don't know when they switched from the 8" wide wheels to the 7.5". I think maybe late '80 or early '81.
