Did you get those panels from Ames? And were they Legendary or PUI? Like you, I don't care about the originality, just the fit.

Just off the phone with Ames and the rep told me the 64 panels for GTO /Lemans will not fit my Tempest Custom conv. He says the shapes are not the same, so I called PUI and they basically told me...

I had the exact same problem on my 64 Tempest...

I had the exact same problem on my 64 Tempest after a rebuilt the engine and transmission last winter. Here's some things I checked:
