Sounds like the summit 2800 or something similar would be a nice upgrade as far as aftermarket.

A pypes exhaust system should give a nice power bump,...

I have a stock '78 L78 that needs exhaust and one manifold gasket is blown. Was curious what to expect, or what potential it has basically stock once it is up and going.

Tempted to get a set. Currently have 15x7 honeycombs and 245/60-15 tires.

It seems like some end up lowering...

I'm at 7-8 after bending my wastegate bracket(TTA advice). Now it runs so good with the carb rebuilt I'm going to bend it back and try 9-10.
