A little story behind this pic.
A few weeks ago I couldn't sleep,so I got up and figured I'd kill some time on E-bay till I got tired. As usual,I looked up old vintage photos and Pontiac stuff till I came across this pic. My jaw dropped as the woman standing next to this 36' Pontiac is a dead ringer for my mother! I sent the link to the auction to 2 of my older sisters and they thought the same. My mother passed years back,so I sent it to one of her brothers to get his input. He was not sure either way. I sent a message to the seller asking if there was any info on the back of the pic,and he replied "No,it just says it was developed in Feb. of 46'." That means my mother would have been 19 at the time,so the time frame fit too. I won the auction,so I have the pic now. The photography studio that is listed on the back of the photo I traced back to a place out of NY state. So now I'm not so sure that it is my mother as she grew up on the west side of Chicago, and lived in Forest Park IL in 46'. So if it's not my mom,it's a dead ringer standing next to a nice old Pontiac. ![]()
