I've been very interested in this subject after getting used to my 68 GTO. It's gears are way to high for MY liking. Can burn rubber for miles off the start but highway driving is almost unbearable. I like to cruise on the highway also and not be limited to "town" driving. Anyone thinking about changing their gears need to read this post:
