Hey, sorry never saw your post as I haven't done anything to this for a while. I'd say the trim rings don't fit real well and scratch the paint. If I remember I had to bend the tangs down some so they'd fit.
I got my cluster restored by Mr. Serio and it's mostly installed. Glad I kept good updates in this thread so I can remember what all the issues were!
