As depicted in the diagrams above, they should be behind the grill mounted to the core support. You'd see them in a millisecond if they were there, as they're not exactly hidden.
Conveniently timed question, however, as I have a related follow-up question. Can I test them just by connecting to a spare car battery? Or will that do something bad to them? Sorry if it's a stupid question. Electrical is not my area of expertise.
