You need to steam clean the engine bay before pouring oil to prevent contamination.
What are you doing? You just spread it around is all. It's even in the air now. Move it into a clean room and start all over. Diminishing returns are tedious indeed, but fret not. You can stop once all the microscopic grit is gone knowing it was a job well done. (Might have a mental breakdown even thinking about that drain plug)
