Better buy a few extra belts, I ended up purchasing a few spare belts from my local Motion industries. If you mount the drive off a aluminum motor plate you'll see flex in the plate when you try to tighten the belt. Without the trans attached I could move the motor back and forth just by squeezing the belt between the pulleys. This caused me a belt tracking issue when the trans was bolted up. Just a FYI
No mandrel yet got the BBC beltdrive kit "PN\252035BB though. I'll pick up some spare belts once it's installed and running. I have an AllPontiac steel front plate on the engine right now. How's you tin work coming along?

With the steel front plate you wont have a bit of problems on the belt tracking.

Just dropped the car off tonight. He thought it should be done by next Wed. As soon as its back I need to install the windshield and engine/wiring. Had he responded a week sooner the car wounld have made it to norwalk. Of well there always next year.

I decided to use a matte black finish, they didnt have any natural brushed aluminum so I settled on black. Hope it turns out ok, I'll post up a few pics next week.

I'll take some pics when I get home. No cable yet, got to install all the parts, then measure to determine the length.
