1. When we dyno'd Jeff's motor at Philadelphia Racing Engines is was raining and the owner (can't remember his name) said that his dyno was stingy. So the conditions were not even close to optimum. 2. Jack is correct. Even after the motor was dyno'd we continued to refine the set-up just about every pass to get everything out of that motor/chassis we could! That car was a continuing work in progress. We always strived for more! 3. When he went 8.42 the DA that day was not even close to mine shaft air. If my memory serves me correctly (Jeff correct me if I'm wrong), I believe the air was 600-800 feet and the barometer SUCKED. Jeff's car is so efficient...but there is always room for improvement.

Lots of but, but, but ...."BUT" still no sheet! Granted some of it is valid points.
As far as Im concerned Jeff makes a 1000 no problem 998 on a rain day, yup. Ran better in the car to at hut-hum cough cough 600-800 ft I was E mailed one but it would not open the PDF. Supposed to be 1021 hp E head sheet! |

My point to this thread is that it seems that its presented as if there are lots of 1000 hp E headed motors out there, seems now that the truth is....there's just not!
I was only thinking of this because Mike L. is trying to break through this barrier as He and I are working on his stuff now. I thought to myself, ya know I have never seen a 1000 hp e head dyno sheet but I hear of it all the time. That's why the post. |

Chris , this was post #90. You don't know this but there is a few here that like to use 1000 hp H head as a stick to beat on other cyl head camps and the 1000 hp E head gets referenced a lot and is made to seem that there is many, at least that's how I take it ![]() The funny part is those people cant produce a sheet that has 1000 anywhere on it. ![]() I wanted to see for real how many have truly made over 1000 hp with E heads. |

My reply was based on the quote above from Mike. Tuning and increasing HP after dyno testing does happen. But if the motor was re-dynoed it would produce higher HP. Stan
