Another vote for Roland Hall. I believe the correct finish would be manganese phosphate. Roland does not offer this process but there are companies that do. If you need a reference I can get the contact info for the company that did mine.

They are from a 69. Is the finish different from earlier ones?

YES That is my belief and Rowlands. I personally don't know where the 1st design stopped and the 2nd started. He may, and that's when the phosphate started. "Bill"!

Replacement hinges could have had a different finish vs units installed at the factory.

A buddy had his hinges for his 69 442 redone by this guy. I thought they came out excellent. Price was in the low $100's.
