I was working at a large chevy dealer till 2008. I started to notice some of the part numbers that fit the older apps were the light cheap ones. Then later the rest. I have a 5.3l truck. I use the PF61. They were the thicker ones while I was there. Now, they have gone cheaper like the rest.

As stated above, if you have an older one, go buy a new one. You`ll see the difference.

I'm going with what a Pro uses in a 1/2 million dollar, 12000 horse engine, not what is read on the internet. If Fram is good for 12000 horse it is certainly good for 300 - 1000 horse. I don't know if it is Fram haters or Fram envy but the pros obviously know what to use.
