An engine like that will probably benefit from a spacer underneath the manifold top to increase plenum volume.

What I have found with both intakes on my engine is they both like shear plates.

We had a hand-me-down sheetmetal tunnel ram on the Grocery Getter and it was notorious for stalling at the end of a big burnout. It had a pretty big plenum.
We switched to the Gutsram and problem solved. So I guess my general thought is to use spacers or something like that (not permanent) so you can try different plenum volumes till it's optimized. FWIW, Eric
