The car is finally here and is exactly as described.

The driver was an idiot and full of excuses. He did not want to follow directions and even though he was contracted to drop the car at my door, he found the Toys R Us parking lot (3 miles away) and would not leave from there.
The car is not registered and has a few issues so I did not want to drive it. I called the broker and he agreed to pay $60.00 to tow it here. The broker was excellent to deal with. The shipper, CTC Auto shipping was terrible.

I am hearing Red Simpson singing 'Give me 40 Acres & I'll Turn this Rig Around' while I read your description of the shipper. I hope he suffered at least as much as the guy in that tune.
Enjoy your new project. There are few things as fun as digging into a new project car.

On the East Coast, these are the guys to use. They take great care with the cars and they haul them in enclosed trailers....along with Lambos, etc. They cost a little more but you can have peace of mind that your baby will arrive just as it left.

At the beginning of the thread, Hammerhead. It looks exactly the same as those, but it's now much dirtier. I'll get some posted after the 8 lugs are on, so keep your pants on.

I actaully like those hubcaps, they bring back memories of seeing 60's Pontiacs all over Chicago. Neighbor had a 65 Bonneville with those.

I just checked the motor and it has 455 cast into the drivers side of the block. It is a 74 455 Y4 code (from a big car).
I have no idea why the wiper motor was off, I bench tested it and it worked, so I put it back on and it still works. The wipers were on the wrong sides so maybe that was it??
