Remember, Mike Noun started this thread to highlight high dollar supposedly "100% correct" restorations that folks who are restoring their cars may inadvertantly use as a prototype. They tehn spend money on the wrong parts thinking they are correct for that model and year and they are not.
The thread is not meant to bash anyone who wants to personalize or restify or upgrade their own Pontiac. The threads intent is to point out items that are incorrect for certain years or models that have become so common that folks think those cars came that way. Couple of quick examples: Rally IIs or a His/Hers shifter on a 66 GTO where the ad reads 100% restored to factory original. Nothing wrong with anyone adding these, but they are incorrect for any 1966 GTO that is being restored (or sold) as a 100% restored to factory original car. Speaking of Rally IIs, how many ultra high dollar, restored to original 1969 427 Yenko Camaros do you see wearing Pontiac Rally IIs? These are correct for Yenko Camaros. Don Yenko was a road racer and added these wheels to the Yenko Camaros for better handling. Can't remember the last time I saw a "correctly restored" Yenko Camaro with them. LOL Jim
