No offense taken Lloyd, just feel'n a little optimistic when I wrote it fellas. I forget about the market taking a little down turn. I'm sure your right about the numbers. However, that being the case, that should also help the buyer as well. He won't have to dig as deep for this Formula.
mslcar... send these guys some pictures and they will put you on the right track. God I love these cars.

I don't think anyone ever junked a TA...they just roll them into the backyard for 20 or 30 years!

Just a little teaser to keep the thread fresh.
I'm going to have the engine rebuilt this fall. Considering Butler, or a local builder here in town, Russell Duffin. He builds a pretty decent engine and holds several land speed records at the Bonneville salt flats. It will be stock appearing, balanced rotating assembly, maybe warmed up a little but since I'm keeping the stock manifolds and pee shooter exhaust, that limitation will limit the need for too much HP. Any other builders worth considering?

Thanks Bandit, I'm in San Antonio. I didn't realize that info was not on my profile.
Feel free to post a link or provide contact info. Shipping the engine would be the case anyway if going to Butler.

Butler did my machine work and balancing. I would highly recommend them!

71 TA Blue/Blue 4 speed??
This one seems very nicely optioned, great color and well priced for a nice driver? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-...item4aa6c531d8 Thoughts....

Thanks Gregg,
I didn't know that as I figured the 4-speed was a no cost option hence not on phs. Still learning.. But, I wonder if that would ding it by 10k-15k? I assume the "YE" on matching block is the giveaway to the original matching trannie that is probably gone with tree.

The incomplete A/C system seems out of line for the asking price. And when it was converted to a 4-speed, it looks like they didn't bother to weld in the correct shifter doghouse... they just cut a hole in the tunnel (look at picture 6).

And that small clutch pedal is incorrect for 71.

Dave Hall doesn't give anything away. He's going to have to sit on those two for a while.

I say it would be worth MORE with the column shift. I feel the hatchet job is detrimental to the value
