Thanks everyone for the help, I found a photo of a rear lap belt in a green 71 gto that looks just like the one posted from the buick only without the little doubleback part. So its great to know thats what my car had, now I just have to learn more about the whole set up and then try to find a set,, CHA CHINGG!,, Is the fender judge decal alittle low on the silver judge photo posted?, Or is it just me ? Maybe it was close to lunch time again.

I think the rear shoulder belts can be instituted using everything from a set of front shoulder belts. Seems like i remember that bar/plate for the attachment threads comes out from the roof section too. Just be sure and get the right buckles to mate with.

And they'd have to be resewn to the right length - if you were actually going to use them - or if you were going to have them buckled in for show display. Otherwise could just slip the ends down between seat cushions.

He has the correct stripes/decals/call-outs ordered to put it into the correct WT7 trim once again - with a fresh shot of Black on the spoiler !

Thanks for posting the recent photos of the judge, Wish they where better pictures, maybe in a few weeks I can show updates with better quality.I have been thinking more about the colors of my interior, Fun looking at the old thread from when I bought it. I would find it very hard to believe that the headliner and door panels are not original to the car.And they where definetly not dyed or painted. I am going to look closer today and do some investigating as to any clues that anything was changed. Did pontiac ever flip things around for a buyer? Like cadillac with some things you could order it like a hamburger at mcdonalds? Anyone know if The seat backs whould be moulded in the proper color plastic or painted? In other words if they are the original and should be white would they be whate plastic thats been painted????

Originals would be white plastic (or whatever the color was)

Replacements would have to be painted.

Sorry guys , I've had 4 71 Judges and at least a couple 71 ho gtos but the only build sheet I have is for the black car which you have already posted . Did a frame off on the white /blue car and didn't find it .

Thanks, I do see white plastic on the inside,, I just find it so hard to believe that someone would go to the trouble to replace the headliner and door panels on a car with no miles and no damage and change the color back in the late 70s. And the headliner looks original to me.As does the door panels. 1BD, i haven't seen pics or don't remember pics of your interior combo.
I do recall seeing some black seat backs.

Clyde seemed to have unique tatses about some cosmetic things.
Plus the car was vandalized - i took it as being some interior and exterior carnage ?
No telling what he might-or did-change on the interior.

In early to late 70's - you could find some Mint stuff on boneyard cars.

In any case, your seats-seat backs-front door panels-armrests-rear side panels-rear armrests-headliner-all headliner trimming - should all be White Ivory.
None of those should be Black or pearlescent white.

Dashpad-metal dash in front of pad-carpet-console-front kick panels-seatbelts-package tray- should all be Black.

I did see a red 71 gto on ebay now that has a a code 262 interior and with those photos I see exactly what you guys are expecting to see, I wonder if this guy was married, Honey I'm going out to change the interior colors in the judge , " I hate that black roof", "I'll be back in a couple of hours" "Dont wait up" Maybe this is why Clydes standard service station went out of busness.

Clyde would get pretty upset if he read some of the things in the thread back from when your car was first listed on eBay. Before you bought it.

You should put a listing in the Newspaper of that town.
If the town still exists, and still has a newspaper.

The Black 71 Automatic Judge with White/Ivory interior was pretty much an untampered virgin before it was restored.
Old pix of it could be considered benchmark at least on interior.

I have just joined the forums and this is my first posting but I have been following the forum for a few years already and have enjoyed reading and following along with several various threads. I figured it would be easy enough to just add to this thread as I will be another new member to the forums and look forward to learning a lot.

I was invited to join by Mike (Judge273) as I had contacted him about the '71 Judge owned by 1beautifuldaughter while it was listed on e-bay as I had come up with a theory about this car possibly being an original WT7 optioned Judge, after looking over the buildsheet. It looks like my thoughts were indeed correct as many of you have confirmed what I was thinking and I am glad and thankful to Judge273 for posting and inquiring about the possibilities of that Judge being a black wing car. That is a really great '71 Judge with some interesting history.

I have a '71 Judge with the WT7 option with the Sienna interior and 3 speed manual transmission as it has been documented by both PHS (no indication of the WT7 option) and GM of Canada (listed WT7 for my car). So I have a particular interest in the '71 Judges and certainly the black spoiler / white Judges from both '70 and '71. I have wondered what the reasoning was behind this option and hope that we can all learn more about it and hopefully discover more cars that were built with it.

I see that this discussion of 1beautifuldaughter's Judge has certainly generated some interest in '71 Judges, the WT7 option for both 1970 and 1971 and breaking down the buildsheets for these cars and other Judges. I have been following along with several threads and there has been some interesting postings and some good information being shared and I am learning a great deal. Many thanks to the members of this forum and the last couple of weeks have really been interesting to me!

Well, I just wanted to briefly make an introduction and I am looking forward to learning more about these cars and to talking with fellow Pontiac enthusiasts. So "Hello" to the many PY users!

Hello Brendon, As if I have the right to welcome you, I am also new here. But welcome just the same. So are you the very first curios mind to inquire about the colors of my car? If so thank you for getting the ball rolling. It was always my intention to bring the car back to "as born" being one of so few 71 Judges made, But I never knew of this option period! As could probably be said for many gto owners, I chose what I beleived was the correct color stripes just by process of elimination in the catalog (which color belongs on a white car). I never really wanted to but the blue stripes on, Just didnt seem to look right to me, Hence maybe the reason someone decided to add this option? I personaly think the eyebrow stripes on these cars though bold and flashy as intended,, Take away from the beautiful shape of these cars, Being the neurotic car owner I am, As soon as I found out about the WT-7 car, I went to work right away,,,, I have removed all the decals , And the very very very very STICKY glue from the car and applied the correct black stripe kit, With red call outs, I also had the rear wing sprayed the proper Matt black. ( eastwood ceramic underhood urithane) looks great and is very durable and UV safe. I have sent BVZ some photos of the car as it is now and he may post them soon. I love it! This color combo doesnt "clash",,,,,,,,,,,, I have taken my build sheet to many shows to meet up with " the guy who can tell you everything you need to know about it"! Just to have someone say, " yah this is the build sheet, It tells you through all these letters and numbers what your car came with", " its your cars DNA" GEE THANKS,, DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE SMARTER"?,,, In short it takes a bunch of true pontiac purists, who care enough to delve deeper into the twighlight zone. Go where no man has gone before! To figure things like this out,, So thank you Brendon, BVZ, and thanks all of you. PS my wife walked into the garage and said, " the car looks the same as it did" LOL

Lots of questions still remain about those WT7 cars for 71. 3 of 15 are documented and yours is very unique too.

After seeing the marketing for the 70 WT7 with 4/5 promos. 51 built out of ? the Polar White Judges.

15 built in 71 on the Cameo Judges seems to be poor in marketing as much as the decline of Judge in 71.

Still I think it was expected to be a bigger hit by Pontiac as box 60 made it easier than in 70.

It make one wonder if the exec driven cars were part of the marketing? (Wishful thinking that maybe an exec will come on board and tell some stories.)

Oh well, it is still a mystery option made a little clearer in this thread, and rare which makes it very cool.

1BD will has a nice restored WT7 car, and many will never know much about it at shows.

71JudgeFan (great name) will be a great source of info, and his car is not restored so maybe still holds some build sheets??
