NO, the 5k was with the crappy looking intake that ran the same as the pretty looking intake, any other questions?

I'm just curious. What is the answer to this?

Nah, I've been lurking all this time. I've seen all the posts. Personally, it don't bother me, I don't care. It made what it made and ran what it ran.

Glad to hear that, yeah what people say doesn't really matter, only truth matters in the end.

You are really hurting my feelings. It hurts even worse coming from someone as smart and emotionally stable as you are....

God, guess I gotta get in here now and defend my buddy Larry. His car is 484ci and weighs around 2975(can't remember for sure since its been 2 years since we scaled it). He didn't run at Norwalk last year. The year before he ran low 9's. Found out clutch was gone in it(I set the clutch so I know it was out of adjustment). Don't think he ran the year before. He's been high 8's there in the past. I've seen it run 8.80's before and think he ran a 8.70's in good air(I didn't witness). All these times with monster wheel stands. We're hoping we can both switch from afb's to Holleys this year.

All this said, you guys can stop dragging his car through the mud as I've pretty much summarized what y'all need to know. Larry is a showman more concerned with pleasing the crowd rather than the fastest ET. At 64 years old, id like to think he's deserved the respect to be left alone on here. He's happy with his heads and to me that's all that counts in my book.

Happy new year Jack,

Well, I'm not picking sides or trying to throwing gas on the fire, that's what the parts cost. As we all know, horsepower costs money. I anybody looking to make 1000hp or better should expect to pay the same or more, no matter what head package you chose.

I still say bang for the buck is warp 6, but no one else seems to think so.
This would be the design I would like to see on a Pontiac Engine:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBxVPOCrznQ

Funny thing is by moving only the lower center head bolt location on a dry deck IA-2 block you can actually screw the SOHC head down as the bore spacing is identical (with-in .005") of a normal Pontiac block. Course you would have to do some work on modding the SOHC timing cover to allow it to be used on the Pontiac block but all of the SOHC parts ARE available. (And probably cheaper vs the Warp 6 Heads and other parts.)

To be clear i really like larry's car and said as much. The point was not to drag him in. More to call GGTo on his assumptions about his revered heads capabilities. Absolutely NO disrespect was intended for him. I would however love to see him add the weight and run. Thanks for the post

If anyone does not think 10-15K top ends (including all new parts) and 25-30K motors (from scratch) are what's required at this level, then they better not even think about getting involved.

... you need to read this again Dan ... and anyone else that doesnt want to believe it ... his words, not mine ...
You twist around worse than Obama. What is wrong with what he said? It is true...

Yet for some reason you think Gaby should not be able to charge 12 grand or more for what he is selling? Is there something wrong with that?

Damn you are a hypocrite Bill. I bet you would charge 5000 to port a CV-1 top end to make 1000+ HP if you could do it.

Id like to see him do it too, but we're locked in running the nostalgia program there and not allowed to run the regular classes. Heck, I'd love to throw Bills 434 in my car and run the class but there's too much to change on my car to do that also.

THIS IS EXACTLY THE PROBLEM right here.

Bill care to comment on how everyone is bashing you two poor innocent souls?
