I think that comment is easier said then done. Once you put a bead on the intake it warps like crazy. It's a constant battle to keep the flanges straight as you massage the part into position. I have done sheet metal welding but never aluminum. I don't think I want to learn on this project.

Thanks to others that verified the deck height on the V block.
