I was there when Ken was trying to sort these out. We tried different cams, converters, gears, hell even transmissions.
The simple FACT was the set of CV1's that Ken had sucked. You can only throw so much time and money at a turd. He tried a set of Dave's off the shelf heads and the car went quicker.
That was called a TEST, as in back to back testing, kind of like Dick just did.

Sorry Dave, but throwing money at cams, gears, convertors, and transmissions don't do a damn thing to the heads. I know when I'm trying to figure out a rear gear combo I don't get a valve job done. I said R&D work on the heads. Not the combo.

How long has it taken to get the e-heads in the 7's?
by the same logic....the e heads came out in the mid 90's...I'm thinkin' 1995....so....15 years???

Did a little homework.
Jack never broke into the 7's until 2012 (10/13/2012).....1995 till 2012 is 17 years.......so by the logic that the CV-1 head has been out for 7 years....it took Jack 17 years to make E heads go in the 7's.

So you're saying that when you buy their "race ready" heads you need to touch up the ports, change out the valves and springs and do a valve job?

Damn, no wonder no one is racing with them...

The technology is here today to make it easier to go faster then years ago.

It helps to have a knowledgeable nvine builder to accomplish this goal.

Another No nothing about what the deal was back then with Roland Racing. Load your phuckin brain before ya shoot off your mouth. I've had enough of opinions without any clue what the deal was. Had nothing to do with working the heads. It was supposed to be a swap to see what difference the CV-1's made over E-heads basically out or the box for the money spent!!!!!!!!!!
I did have to really work the intake (one of the first one's off the presses) thou to just get it to work.

The deal was .................... Out of the Box heads and see what they will do. Yo duh.

I didn't get to do R & D as I was hung out to dry when I was stepping up to the next phase of the CV-1 race program. PERIOD.
