So it'd be easier to make 1000hp from a 400ci engine vs a 572ci engine?

A 500 ci engine is smaller too, where did I say 400? Import guys make plenty of hp with 4 cylinder engines, even more than your engine, and probably mine.

Not N/A they don't. With about 40 lbs. of boost they do. It's easier to make more power with a bigger motor. That's why IHRA pro stocks are faster. 900 cubes vs. 500

Hp per ci smaller engines have the advantage in my opinion. For the stuff the average guy is building, not professional race teams

Trust me you don't have a clue. And you saying that you do just concludes that you are the notorious "DaftGTO."

Got some CFE stuff here to for some changes, bet that goes faster too.
But who is to say that that is their best stuff ? I don't think it is. In fact im sure its not.
And if someone took your stuff to them I am sure they would improve it. What are the chances someone is bringing the latest stuff in to be worked on? This is a moving target and if you cannot improve on last years stuff you are left behind.

I'm considering switching from an orange engine stand to a black one. Any estimates on how much I can expect to pick up?

In the Norwalk Pro Engine Stand class, about 7 hp. The biggest gain will be if you go from a three wheel to a four wheel.
