I didn't go through all 8 pages ,but was wondering why you have a later style radiator in the car.
I noticed the trans cooling lines go into the right side of the unit.

Nice job on the project,btw.

Yes you are correct. I just recently learned that same info too. I think I will leave the label on the tire and just turn it to the back out of view if I get it judged but have it shown in view at car shows just for effect since most dont know anyway.

The radiator is an original radiator. The trans lines are on the bottom as they should be.
I am using ram air manifolds and the trans lines run up the frame and over the control arm.

Hope I am not asking this question twice, as I have not read thru your whole thread yet. What material did you use to recover your window fuzzies, and where did you find it. I am wanting to do the same to mine as it seems the repop ones are not correct and do not fit well from what I am hearing from others. VERY NICE 67 by the way!!!

My bad,I thought that picture was of the top rad hose,just noticed it was the bottom hose.Sorry.
Btw,did you buy the trans cooling lines specifically for the R/A manifolds or did you re bend ?
I'm going through this now,as I changed my manifolds to R/A type after I purchased my trans cooling lines.

PS Could you possibly post a picture of the lines where they cross over the control arm ?

Here are some pics of how the ram air lines are routed.

I bought the lines specifically for a ram air car.
The bracket for the lines that are normally located on the top of the frame must be relocated to the side of the frame as shown in the second pic.

Old post but the blackout process was done before the body drop. Cheap asphalt based paint that was drizzled on the A arms and rear end.

Very nice job on the restoration, although the chassis decal stickers are a little overboard for my taste.

I took the GTO out today for its maiden voyage. I went 15 miles round trip to a morning Cars and Coffee here in South Jersey. Not one hiccup. The car ran flawlessly.
A friend of mine shot a few pics of the car too.

This thread is now dedicated to John Howie.
John was a good friend I met by accident. Once I met John I knew he was a car guy and really had a passion for the cars he worked on. John did all the body work on my GTO.
It was never about the money he could make off of doing the work on a car, rather the joy and satisfaction he saw seeing the car come to fruition. He had hands of gold!
John is also shown in so many forums my other friends had projects going in.
He restored a '68 Road Runner(DodgeCharger.com), a '64 GTO profiled on here, a "69 Daytona Charger(DodgeCharger.com), a Ferrari 308 (Ferrarichat.com)and numerous other projects. Sadly John passed away suddenly on October 14, 2013. He will be missed. I am at a point in my life that I have now completely given up on restoring cars without doing this with John.
I plan on showing my car and once I have it certified concours gold, my trophies will be given to his wife and family as token of my graditude and appreciation for the extraordinary work he did on my GTO.

It was a real joy to finally drive the car for the first time last Saturday.
I have a car show to take it to on Thanksgiving day then it gets put in storage for the long winter. This spring I will hit the car shows and see how it does.
I like the B/W photo the best, it gives it that old retro look complete with my old plate on the front bumper that was my fathers from his 1967 Catalina
I got alot of thumbs up from older guys that remembered these cars back in the day and I got a few thumbs up from younger kids too. Its nice to know the young guys still like these cars instead of the import tuner cars.
