I am guessing........ but you have already eliminated a ground issue at the tank and the sending unit as not being the problem....

does the gauge not move ? or read way full ??

trying to save you pain from removing the dash.........

and as a matter of fact I am pulling a 69 J model pad here in the next several days

and can take step by step pics........

its been 25 years since I pulled a 69 sj pad ... I know theres a couple bit?h bolts

can anyone verify the position of these ... seems they wer e near the radio

and how to get to them ??
