What do you want to know on the calipers, the casting numbers? I have a bunch of rear calipers, might be able to glean something from stack of orig rear rotors too. Calipers changed for '81's, if memory serves right.

I finally made up my mind that I wanted a new 4 speed TA in the spring of 1980. Upon visiting several dealerships, I found that all of the 4 speed cars were gone by that time. Undaunted, I searched and found a speculator car that was called a TATA (the seller explained the model to me).
I went and looked at it and knew I had to have it. A deal was struck and I became the second owner of the car at 47 miles. The car was a Van Nuys car and I have all the original documentation (window sticker, build sheet, owner’s manual, etc.). I drove it for two years in Minnesota winters and then decided that had to end if the car was to survive. Life was also getting in the way with jobs, marriages, and other issues so I basically put it into storage for 25 years. I would drive it in the summers, but never for more than 500 miles. The car now has 35,000 miles and is in excellent condition with no rust or rot. The AC compressor clutch is gone and so is most of the paint. I put in a new stereo system (Retrosound) last year and just replaced the headliner. I will post some photos the next time I get back to Minnesota.

TACH WIRE HELP
Need to know that the tach wire to dist. is the creme colored one coming out top/right above fuse box that spices into an orange wire with brown connector.

Those pics sure do bring back a bunch of memories.....good and have to live with.
Make sure you can't see or feel the line at the two tone seperation. Especially on the hood and fender tops. The new decal will make minor imperfections look huge. I think most people let it go and I've seen it on several repaints over the years. Just something that gets overlooked easy in all the excitement. BTW Looking good there!! Clay

I will post up some info on my TATA 4-speed along with some pics. Mine is still factory paint, but has some scratches, chips and door dings from being driven over 50k miles. I have been contemplating repainting it, but it still looks decent, even with all the flaws. Hard to remove that original paint because it is that way only once!
