I know there's only a few sets of his HP CNC heads out there but I'd say the best thing to do is give Calvin a call. I'm sure he would be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

Just wanted to know who has dedicated the most time successfully with this particular casting, I have a goal in mind, and would discuss that with the porter in question.
Dan Barton has been working on my HP heads since 2009-2010. He'll get you to your goal guaranteed, Gaby or BES are also good options.

IMO. Any of the cookie cutter CNC versions from various vendors would get you into the 850-950hp range. Beyond that it will probably narrow the field down and drive the price up.

Like I said. Power is there. Everything else with the combo is a bit off.

I've got a set of Dan's worked over HPs to go on the 500 if the E heads on it don't get me the et I want. He freshened and twesked the KRE hand ported E heads that are on it.

Saw Slowbird's stuff when I have been there before too. A few other guys from here's stuff also over the years. He did my 409 heads also.

Some facts for you,
Car #1 dynos around 1030hp runs 5.4@129 weighs 2900lbs, has ladder bars, tunnel ram and 2 carbs
Car #2 dynos around 1030hp runs 5.43@128 weighs 3300lbs, stock suspension, victor intake and 1 carb
What conclusion do you draw?
Can you show me a 1000+hp kre that shows it on the track?

I don't understand this post.

These cars could be running 5.30 @ 130 or there abouts. Clearly the delta can be found in the chassis, tune etc.

Car #2 needs another dyno?

#1 shows over 1000HP with the MPH.
#2 shows over 1100HP with the MPH. (1040HP by ET)

Flyin79bird's car shows 1015 HP with the MPH.

Theres a 400lb difference and car #2 is far from ideal. NFW they make the same power.

Well your 1/8 mph calc is fubar. It shows me making 20 hp more than i did.....in the heat.... hurt.....with the 330 off almost .10 and it was NOT spinning. BS.

I know of a well sorted out car and it shows north of 60+ wrong to the good.

Flyin79bird's car shows 1015 HP with the MPH.

You can't use 1/8 to figure hp.
If both pick up 29mph (a reasonable gain), then car#1 shows 915hp and car #2 shows 1020hp.
Here is another example paper says 1000hp, car runs 9.2s at 146-147 car weighs 3300lbs, thats not 1000hp.

With only 3 clean passes absolutely no tuning has been done to find any extra power.
Finding an inflated dyno is next on the list so he can be like everyone else. A piece of paper that shows huge numbers but can't be backed up. No one seems to question the dyno, just assume the car sucks.

Why not?

This is not the way to do that.

No it's not.
Who's car is that?
Probably needs to check the car out and find what is not optimized for that combo?

So this hypothetical #2 is you?

Your car shows over 1040HP by the ET, the MPH shows you have more HP (1130 HP), so your car is needing some work to get it to ET better.

What's wrong with the dyno numbers compared to the track results?

You think 1100hp can be achieved with 511ci, HP heads and a Victor intake? If so all the more reason to call up Dan Barton is it not?
So car #2 has issues and car #1 is good? KRE dyno isnt being questioned but dyno #2 is?
Yes #2 is a NA run and had a 1.26 60ft.

You brought up the "#2" .

The data for the #1 shows what he said.
The MPH HP shows what the dyno said, the ET is off because he hasn't got the car lined out.

Yours is basically the same setup.
(if the numbers/data is correct)

Your dyno showed 1030 HP?
The car shows 1040 HP by the ET.
But the MPH shows more HP than the dyno.

So either your dyno is off or your data is off.
