It could also be argued that Wenzler's quality control issues sped up the development of the Eheads.

Back to the thread topic...how many of you think, regardless of the outcome of the race that most, at least those that posted in this thread, will not change their opinions.

Maybe, but I have what I believe to be Owen's old heads and there are zero problems with them and they have been worked on by some of the best around. I should also mention that the original owner (not Neal) returned them to KRE because he thought they were crap.

Sometimes, just sometimes, opinions and beliefs don't match the reality.

GTO George

The Wenzler head as cast wouldn't set any records.

One weekend of data on two vehicles would not be a representative sample to make a change in "my opinion" of either head.

Jack "eats a hamburger" (arnie quote), one of the engines is wounded on the spray, etc,
too many variables.

Just the facts.
Personally thought that was pretty cool. Really didnt matter to me what heads were on it. Question is how many times did you run that number again or sub 8's for that matter after that?
I'm curious what those facts are.

BTW, my dad has a set of Super Chiefs. He hasn't had any issues with them.
My old Wenzler Super Chiefs have run both quicker and faster than any time you've ever posted.

Maybe you should save some space for spare parts.

I don't believe Jack did it but once. Ed McGuinn has done it multiple times and not on the east coast. And on one kit.

What no StagsTTF?

Surprised its not Milwaukee's Best or "Old Mil"

I prefer Miller draft from a keg myself, though a cold 7oz "Coronita" can really be just right size for taking a break from mowing the lawn on a hot day!

I like to think that the M/T hemi heads did- the only Pontiac to ever take Top Eliminator at an NHRA Nationals. I consider that a "record".

Porting is allowed in Super Stock class so those heads aren't "as cast" either.
