Default 4 Piston vs Later Single Piston Wheel Clearance

Hi Guys:
I was wondering if I should expect there to be any difference in the clearance I would get on 14X7 wheels between single and 4 piston calipers? Thanks to all that can help.

The 4-piston calipers are generally known to have less clearance than the single-piston calipers.

Case in point - the 14X6" Hurst wheels will need a 1/4" or 5/16" wheel spacer when used with a '67-'68 4-piston disc brake setup, whereas a single-piston '69 -'72 disc brake setup clears with no spacer.

Thanks for the reply. I would assume the 14X7 Rally II wheels will be OK for sure with single piston disc brakes (front).

Yes, for '69 models, 14x7's were introduced and used with both drum and front disc F body's.
