Good question... I really love the Bitchin Rides guys, probably better than Gas Monkey. R.R. is a bit of a tool, but he is a car guy. Just a rich car guy. Have to agree with indymanjoe, got respect for the guy.

I couldn't afford either so it's a moot point. Lol. And I enjoy doing it too much myself to pay someone else to do it.

Is this the new Street Outlaws direction, going away from the pro mod stuff? I love that. I love the new Crow. Very enjoyable, and something I can more easily identify with. My favorite cars on the show are the Crow, the ElCo, and Murder Nova.

I enjoy FnL too, just not as much. I liked it better when they were a smaller shop, and had to sweet talk Sue? into an upholstery deal.

Gas Monkey Richard really made himself look bad on the show, but I'm not a fan.
Azn and Farm truck were pretty darn funny.

Due to the internet I already knew who won the SO/GMG race, so the outcome was no surprise. Chief is a fierce competitor when it comes to drag racing, and is quite savvy on applying as much power as possible to a given racing surface. He has beaten more powerful cars regularly on the show by hooking his car better than the competition. He also has a great deal if finesse driving on an unprepped track surface.

It amazed me that the Farmbird came within .02 of the BMW on the autocross course, especially with all the tire smoking they did. On another Youtube video I watched, the original 455 in the bird dynoed at 430 HP before they freshened it, 507 HP after. Pretty healthy iron headed engine.

The guy that does the engine in Farmtruck is the one that worked on the 455 so he's probably is a pretty good engine guy. "Mark, out of Kansas City" was as much information as I could find on him. Anyone know who that might be? I found it, Advanced Racing Engines Salina KS.....http://advancedracingengines.com/ Looks like he can build most anything, ford, chevy, mopar and now a Pontiac. Some imports mentioned too.

The Bio says Marc, drives dirt late model cars, guy can't be all bad if he's a dirt track racer......LOL

On the drag race they killed the BMW.

The tug of war was really funny. I told my wife that they had it won as soon as they hooked the cord up. If anyone noticed Sean (Farmtruck) hooked the cord to the top bar on the rollcage. I would assume he maybe grew up on a farm because where you hook to the vehicle vehicle doing the towing has a great deal to do with how much downforce is exerted on the wheels. The higher the hook point on the towing vehicle and the lower the hook point on what your towing transfer the weight from one vehicle to the other because of the lifting action. Granted that the Farmbird weighed more to start with, however the hook point tipped the scales in favor of the Farmbird further.

I have actually seen a 1/2 ton ford win a tug of war against a 3/4 ton ford even though the 3/4 ton outweighed the 1/2 ton. There's more to it than which vehicle weighs more.

A great night for Pontiac Stratostreak power plants, 2 for 2.

Agree, on the race being close the 1st race but the Pro Stock guy had little time in the Pro Mod car, it did hit the wall earlier, and he was already screwed up head wise with the "boss" being pissed that he lost the 1st race.

You already know the outcome but can see some of the reasons why he lost after watching the actual show.

Technically Chief had no time in the Crow either. Familiar car design and parts maybe but no test time.

Yeah, I've seen that look before. Boss paid all this money, excepts nothing short of winning, attitude screws up the team. Same as my day job.

Not sure if it was scripted but that's the second time I've seen them hold Chief back from adding more or changing the car and be right. Considering his first run was good but squirrely, best to run the second as is since you already have one in the bag and getting a better lane.

I have to admit Chiefs pretty good at getting his car down a SH_T track, that actually won the race for them. The Mopar had more power. on a prepped track the outcome probably would had been different. I am kinda amazed that Chief also treed Alex. Alex is a pretty good leaver. As for him making the switch from a Pro Stock to a Pro Mod (not really a Pro Mod).......NO BIG difference. Just a transbrake button and throwing one lever......im thinking he can handle it, driving is driving! My-Gosh.....it was only an 1/8 mile race! LOL!
