With twin turbos a lot I suppose!
I could care less about Pontiacs in Pro Mod, you guys started this whole thing by saying you can't make more power with twin turbos with a better heads then Chiefs 340 e heads.

The billet Visner head is better then that Warp 6 head.
It's a lot more to going fast in ProMod then a set of cylinder heads anyway.
How fast have your heads gone........in anything?
I agree with more then just heads to compete in Pro Mod, but you have to start somewhere i suppose.

eheads have made the 'BIG POWER STAGE' by default-
what i mean is that no back to back testing was done on those huge power platforms with different heads for comparison on same dyno or same track.

what we DO know is that there DEFINITELY ARE other documented examples here where accomplished racers replaced their eheads with other designs...
be it high ports, tigers, or cv-1's... and went faster

I certainly hope Chief can improve upon his already high 3 second 1/8th mile times when he gets the new heads since all I have heard is how much a piece of &#!* the e-head is yet it still produces solidly...Sounds to me like ANY head should pick him up by a full second (high 2's anyone) lol...

Are you privy to chiefs build with the new top end? I know pistons are changing so any more compression? Cam Change? Bore/Stroke Change? Because if any of that stuff changes it's not apples to apples...

Perfect test would just be change to exact same compression piston used on same rod slinging from same crank and just changing the heads and intake and using same fuel management and turbo's...don't think that is what's going to happen...

It's been "3's @ 194" according to Frank from All Pontiac. That came from Justin.

That's more 1/8th mile MPH than Jeff Kauffman's 5 second pass, if anybody is counting. 😜

I had my 17 year old nephew staying over the weekend.Sunday 5 of his buddies came to pick him up.They have heard about my street car and wanted to see it.I'm in the process of swapping shortblocks etc..so both shortblocks are on engine stands in front of the car and parts laying around..so they had a good look.As soon as one guy got a good look..he said you have a "Crow" engine..I just laughed and said well not quite..but yes its a Pontiac. They asked a lot of questions about what I was doing and checking the car out.

Its was pretty cool to see a bunch of kids in their late teens knowing what a Pontiac engine looks like and to be interested in it.

Sure some of the show has to be scripted or planned but the cars and the guys are real.

Its just damn cool a old Pontiac motor is in Chief's car and he has the sickness like the rest of us.

Yes, rolling through the traps off the gas at 150 MPH. That's why the Ass Monkey guys changed pulleys, even they were faster on the first run. They knew they were in trouble if Chief made a clean pass.

Chief stated in his podcast that his new car is definitely faster than his Crow Mod.

Exactly...

He has been 3.90's in the new steel "Crow" and as was stated in the podcast it is better and faster than the Crowmod car...

Is that "tipping the can" or just straight alky? We do know chief like to cheat a tad.

Cheat? In a street race? You are kidding right?

BTW - Chief's podcast said he has no interest in Pro-mod racing any longer so for what these guys are doing the sky is the limit and there is no "Class" racing involved...

Yea....it can be misleading....running 3.90's on Nitro doesn't make it nearly that impressive! As for his "Steel" car seriously its a joke. Its got a Crome moly (ex-pro mod) chassis and carbon fiber front end, fiberglass doors, trunk lid, hood and a Aluminum rear end....just saying. Am I missing something?
