Under the bench currently. Thinking of joining front halves and finding someone to test it. Long haul to tow 2/3 across the country but you could make quite a vacation out of the trip. Norwalk area and north along lake Erie are some pretty nice vacation spots. Agree close lights are dangerous. .010-.020 max is my comfort zone. |

Getting back to "CUBED" TIGERS". Other than maybe Dwight and John Snyder who has made as much Pontiac N/A HP as John Langer?

Still a few around, high end street car stuff. High effort race cars ?????????
Who is left that is not having troubles ? Futon, their savior needs to show up and tear up some E heads. |

Well, not the way I meant it. I meant it in a way, that he should prove that they are hands down a better head. Go kick some butt.
He shown that he could out run his 400cfm E heads with the same cam as with his standard wide ports. Did not give them a fair shot IMO. Ran faster, know of mid 7.60 pass and maybe a 7.56. But he ran a 7.71 with E heads. Who is to say that if he had given the new 400cfm WPs a real effort, new cam and trying to maximize the combo he could not have gotten the tenth-tenth and a half gain from the CVs ? Not a lot of gain for all the money it "should" have cost him. Bet they were a freebee. E heads are a great head for the vast majority of racers. Can make 1100HP + without huge effort. Racers don't have a hard time keeping plugs in them, or worse. Great engines hit the same every hole. A few have stepped up to some of the billet heads. Make more power, sure. But not "that" much more really. 100HP-250HP for multiple "tens" of thousands of dollars more. Hey, if you can afford it that is awesome. Great to be you. But the money I am hearing for the top ends, is just nuts, bonkers crazy for what your get back for almost everyone but a few. But George, myself being a NA guy people are starting to go your direction. Put a blower, centrifugal or turbo on it. Cheaper in the long run. |

Asking him if he was doing your heads. Hey, when you pull my leg in a PM about it you get what you get. Could have just said you dont want to say right now.
I have a hard time thinking you would go away from Barton, he does great work. Pro Stock guys trust him. Maybe you are selling everything, who knows. |

Dragncar, when Marty Palbykin went 6.96 in the quarter he had a set of cast iron #62 Heads that never flowed a cfm over 270 cfm. More like 262-265 cfm.
But he ran some boost and methanol fuel. Durable for 3 years of racing and then the stock cast iron 67m Pontiac Block eventually cracked. So the point is if you used a better block being able to run 6s with boost is not an issue. It was done in 1996. This is 2018 and parts for the most part are better. That is a fact. No snide comments from the 8 second guys. Cooper tried for years to go fast with a roots style supercharger, constantly tore up engine parts. He put a Procharger centrifugal supercharger on his car and is going fast at norwalk these days. Tom V.

Don’t forget he was 100 lbs heavier with the cv heads.....that’s pretty darn good with a head change. Eheads are a good starter head but KRE HP is a better bang for your buck!
Blower cheaper, HAH........build one first then see how cheap it is! It don’t cost much to run 20’s.....seriously, go make some HP! GTO George |

Shows how underrated the E head is and just how good Mike, Marcella and S Brown were together. If Langer says he is going boost because even "he" can not afford it anymore, I will take him at his word. 5K for a weekend. I spend 200$. Heard he has several sets of 500$+ pac springs in his pit. Checks them every run. Expensive game. |
