Default 539 Dyno Results

Dyno'd my back-up engine today. Bracket engine built to go 500 passes. Some details. 539 IA2, 13:7:1 Compression, 380cfm KRE HiPorts, Non-offset T&D 1.65 Shaft Rockers, Isky EZ Rolls, 1250 Dominator, Victor, 2.25/2.125 stepped headers, Comp Cams 285/292 @ 112 with .774/.751 lift, Q16. Special thanks to Bill Meyer for building this engine.

Great numbers for a ( as described) bracket motor! Clearly not max effort but great numbers... that motor will live with very little maintenance....check lash and go...

Some additional details to help others. Hi Ports are out of the box from KRE 64cc heads. KRE has a 380cfm CNC program. Victor intake was port matched to the head. Wiseco 4.365" gas port pistons. 4.5" forged crank. Callies Ultra Rods. 7/16" tapered pushrods. Milodon 30355 pan & Melling 60psi pump. Motor made 860hp on Sunoco Supreme 112. 884hp on VP Q16.

Can someone please explain how Q16 makes more power then Sunoco 112? What if any changes need to be made to the carburetor?

Bud Lyons? I haven't heard that name in ages.
Q16 is oxygenated- it contains more oxygen per unit than "normal" gasoline. The extra oxygen allows you to burn more fuel, so need to increase volume.

Victor was port matched to the heads and plenum cleaned up. Super Sucker 2" 4 hole space was worth 12 hp.
