Why would you want to leave in second? Your clearly not putting any power to it til the back half of the 1/8.....just wondering.

It would be interesting to see what happens with a little more power at the launch in 2nd gear. Car looks great! Thanks for keeping us posted.

Calculated MPH with different transmission 1st gears @7500rpm:
https://spicerparts.com/calculators/...rpm-calculator

T400 2.48 = 77.51
Rossler 2.10 = 91.54
Powerglide 1.82 = 105.62

To see what effect is has on building boost sooner with the current tune.

So you can put the power to it. It is an acceleration competition, not the salt flats. I would love to not have to pull power out on the hit and leave at a much higher rpm for the first second. I could go much quicker if I could.

If we hit the limits of what these can do for us, I'm open to options. At this point we haven't made any chassis/suspension adjustments from our original starting point.

Which shock/spring vendor? Santhuff?

Real cars need real shocks that respond to change and have repeatability. I use santhuff. Others have found success with afco/menscer, bell/kinetic, Penske, jr1 to name a few.

No more of a truer statement than that.

For now we'll work with what we have, if they become the limiting factor they will be changed. I do expect we'll be able to hit consistent 1.1x 60's.

You need to hit it hard out the gate to get it moving.

What RPM are you launching at? I'm at 4800rpm now, planning on increasing to to ~5500.

Are you pulling any timing on the launch (Launch retard)?

3400 launch at 9lbs here

I'm not pulling any timing while on the t-brake in the current tune.

That’s correct you should not be or it won’t go up on the brake. It activates when u let go of the brake. You might want to try lowering the leave RPM, it will hit the converter harder.

Work on the front half and the back half will follow.

You need to pull timing out on the t-brake - it helps spool faster -- Tell LIL Jack to -- stay in his own lane --
