The air cleaner does have the studs. The metal pieces that the studs are attached to are both bent. It looks like someone tried to pull the air cleaner off the engine without removing the wing nuts from the studs. Easy fix, I just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.

The hard fix will be replacing the missing hose clips.
