I don't have any experience with this or know how durable they are, but you could maybe try this?

A guy used to come around our GTO meets with portable striping equip. Cut very shallow grove in sidewall and filled it with red paint.

I don't think I heard of them but those may be the tires that guy with the cool dark green '64 Pontiac wagon with the Torq-Thrusts used.
I'll look them up. Thanks |

$1300.00 for 4 tires is just not happening.
I didn't pay that much for my 18" 10 ply Michelins for my truck and those are real tires. |

The tire biz has really changed in the last 10 years. I had a customer Monday who didn't bat an eye at spending $2400.00 to replace the stock GMC wheels, tires, and pressure sensors for new ones that look exactly like the OE ones. 2009 Yukon Denali, chrome 22" wheels. Chrome peeling off badly, wheels won't hold air. Just seems to be part of the game today. $325.00 each is allot of $$ by any standard but someone must be buying them! Not you, or me. They do look nice I must admit. The red stickers are looking better and better.

If you don't want to pony up for Diamondback, tire stickers are going to be your only option. It costs money to look cool.

I got 4 custom drilled 18" Torq Thrusts, Lug Nuts and Chrome Valve Stems to my door for $706.00. I can't justify nearly twice that for tires made by some overseas company I never heard of. I know everything I need to know about Michelins that didn't cost as much as a tire I never heard of. |

Even if Michelin made them they still aren't worth $1300.00. Although a bit more justifiable.

Its difficult these days to get an 18" (or larger) wheel that doesn't look over-modern to the point of looking goofy. Even when you can find a 5 spoke wheel, some manufacturer put their spin on it and they just don't look right. I've learned years ago, if a company makes the look you are after but doesn't make or list the application you want.... Call them. That's how I got my 15"x14" Cragar SS's with a custom back space and dedicated bolt pattern as well as the Torq-Thrusts with 115mm bolt pattern. |

Examples: 255/40/18 Michelin - Pilot Super Sport - Max Performance Summer - $269.39 245/50/18 Michelin - Pilot Sport 3 - Max Performance Summer - $313.98 Different sizes will result in different prices - but most likely you're looking at a grand or more for 4 black wall tires. |

When I need radial white walls or red lines or..... For a car I'm restoring here, I go to Diamondback.
I get a lot of feedback from customers years after the fact and Diamondback by far has been the best. Especially when it comes to white walls browning. Had issues with Coker years back with that, but not Diamondback. |
