Sorry, I forgot to follow up. I didn't get quite what I wanted. But I'm ok with it. My experience with BaT was good. They were very thorough and responsive. The secure checkout company, Caramel, was another story. Turned into a small nightmare. I didn't understand the process. So I was frustrated and made a mistake. They under communicated and were slow in responding to emails. I was trying to be proactive while waiting for information from them. So, my wife and I signed the title. Then, five days after the end of the auction, they send me an email saying don't sign the title. I emailed back saying that we had signed it. After several days, trading emails, they still couldn't tell me what to do to move forward. So I just applied for a replacement title. That got everything back on track. Just delayed the process. If they would have sent instructions immediately, I could have avoided the problems. You don't have to use the secure checkout. It is a good thing if you know the ropes. They handle exchanging the funds, signing the title via power of attorney, and get the title and temp tags for the new owner. They also arrange for the transportation company to pick up the vehicle. That was very smooth. Caramel will pay you 100% of the funds immediately when they receive the title. I went ahead and shipped the vehicle before I got the replacement title. They pay 50% immediately when the vehicle ships. The other 50% when they get the title. I didn't like that much. But I screwed up and wanted to do right by the buyer. He was very nice and patient fortunately. All's well that ends well I guess. I would sell there again. Hope that all makes sense. Feel free to ask me anything about it.
