Dude, never said it hasnt ever happened, but saying it has been happening like a common thing for years isnt the norm as far as Ive seen in almost 20 years.
Just stating my experience.

That is bad.

No way should it be your iPad, nor do I expect it's a basic compatibility problem. Most likely some cookie thing.

Try clearing your cookies for the site. That is always a first step.

I don't know Apple stuff much, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Assuming you are using Safari and not some other app, find the Safari settings. Online says:

Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data- Tap Edit

Tap the red minus icon next to the site... may be "... maxperformance..."

Shut down and restart Safari

Someone more familiar with Apple can correct.

Also, on my wife's Apple stuff, it isn't obvious how to completely shut down Safari. I think we always go to the top bar and follow "File - "something.."

If you are using some other app to access the site, good luck!

For what it's worth I just tried Firefox's VPN build in the latest brouser and had all the latest problems many are having.
I turned it off and I'm back to normal.FWIW
