Jerry, Thanks for the description on this! I won't fully understand your explanation, until I climb under my dash and see what's going on. I need to work out a way to get a later booster for my dual master cylinder that will clear the V8 valve covers. If I could just get it to stop half as good as my wife's CTS I would be happy. John

The wheel cylinders and hard lines are also new. c5farmer, did you have a 3rd bracket with that setup, a small angle brace that goes from the driver's side master cyl mounting bolt to the inner fender?

Yes, That bracket was included in the box. Looks to be very easily fabricated.

I didn't mean to get into this so deep: Purchased 1st 63 on ebay and got screwed with a non fixable rust bucket. Found 2nd car in Oklahoma and it was an original Calif black plate rust free car (black/red) without engine, seats or drive train. It has been at least a 3 year journey to this point. Currently installing 65 tri-power to be followed with power steering, aftermarket air ... on and on! John

John, Your car has come a long way! And it sounds like you have nice additions to go. Enjoy it this summer at the cruises. Sharp looking Lemans. Several members on the forum have added modern power steering and brakes, so look for their posts.

Making a little progress on the wife's Lemans. The nice weather is helping. The bumpers and trim are installed. The engine is hooked up to the transaxle, but nothing else. The car is coming along and should be running early summer.

Been tinkering with the 61. Had to take my 4GC back to the shop I had go through it. Wasnt right. Was hoping it would be up & running this weekend. I an susposed to be in 29 Palms Cali. next saturday for a car show & visit relatives. Now that probably wont happen. Never fails!!

This was a short term parting out project. Lots of bondo covering lots of rust!!! 4-banger, 4-bbl, 2spd. Saved the tinted glass, engine, trans, torque tube and shaft, plus many other parts. This could be the engine that powers my Model A Fordor? Snapped a few pics before unloading to pull parts. Its going to the scrapper 6/18/14.

Installing new carpet. Put the car out in the heat yesterday (40 celsius or 104 F) so then the carpet was easy to lay out over the floor contours. Today did most of the cutting and trimming in the comfort of the garage. No air-conditioning, but a loud stereo. Trimparts carpet is a quality product and a piece of cake to install. I took a whack of pictures. Here is one. Looks like it's time for new rubber for them pedals.

Picked up the car on Saturday, only 6.5 months later but she sure shines.
Now to start putting her back together. So glad I went with the original color, it never looked this good.
I wish it was my time to install the carpet, looks real nice.

We have the Lemans running and ready for its new red top. Monday is the appointment for the top installation. The engine started but ran hot and woulddn't idle. Problem was the timing not having enough advance. Once I got it to 10 degrees BTDC, it ran like a champ. The convertible top bows moved slow until the pump was bled and filled per the 63 Body Shop Manual. It has been 3 years of body work, paint, engine overhaul, and assembly, but it is finally getting close to being finished. The Fat Mat insulation, interior, and exhaust system are left to do. Should be able to take it this summer for the first drive since 1990.
