I don't know if I'm biased because I run Magnaflow Mufflers but to me they sound WAY better than other brands. Your car sounds great! Once I have my new engine I will add a video to this thread.

I think the Pypes system sounded the best of all brands. It had a nice raspy tone.
What cam specs did you have when you ran the Pypes system?

Did your Pypes system have the transverse muffler?

1970 RAIII 400 Stock cam, original RA manifolds, 2.5 inch pypes downpipes into Walker/Dynomax/Thrush 2.5 Crossflow System. Very affordable with a very good fit, sound GREAT. This will be the third year I have had this system on my car and I'm very happy with it.

Default My current 66 and my last 66

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtiW0NXzSzo
This is my current car, 71 455, 6X-8 heads, 66 tripower, ram air manifolds, pypes x-pipe sys with huge (20" case) 17749 Dynomax Super Turbos and flowmaster tailpipes, still getting tune dialed in during this vid, but this car is quiet enough inside to drive some distance comfortably on the highway

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE02rPqnJFY
This Fontaine (clone) was sold several years ago
67 400 , 670 heads, (unknown cam specs) , 4bbl , headers, 2 chamber flowmasters,
Great throaty idle, but too loud out back and inside for my taste

Here's my old one, still had the 2004r in it, slipping. Dougs, 2.5 pypes the whole way, with X, 20" Goelich mufflers.

Was slightly leaning out on the top end too, but you get the idea.
