Congrats! I think the exhaust tips look very nice. Car sounds great, although I'm not totally surprised that it's on the loud side. You have a serious engine under the hood. Regardless how how loud it is from the outside, perhaps a bigger factor will be how loud it is from inside the car while driving. If you don't have excessive exhaust volume or drone inside the cabin when driving, that should make it more reasonable to live with. The neighbors can deal.

37 trouble free miles other than a small power steering leak I think I found

It sounds great. What RPM is idle at and what brand lifters? Also, what oil viscosity?

61 miles break down free. I do want to be proactive about one potential problem. After about 20 mins idling in 75-80 degree weather the temp gets up to around 200. I can potentially see this being a problem in SC when it gets to be 90 everyday. Tips and tricks now?

Idle is at 850 and the lifters are Lunati. Little noise but not much.

My Comp rollers quieted down a bunch when I went from 1/2 turn past zero lash to 1 turn past. Glad to see that you're getting some seat time! Mine has been down about two years now.

Your AC condenser will inhibit air flow at idle. And now is a good time to check if it overheats with AC on and the condenser being an additional heat source for the radiator.

Check the cooling section for tips and tricks. Vacuum advance and timing, minimum clearance on water pump divider plate, factory clutch fan, air burped out of system, make sure all baffles and factory components in place. If it cools down at speed then it points to an air flow problem…

Looks good. Just a side note, you should probably limit your extended idle time, Hard on camshafts. Yes even with rollers.

Looks and sounds great. For sound deadener you don't have to break the bank with high-priced name brand. Two boxes of this - total of $130 -will do your floor and probably enough for your doors. Then you can move on with carpet install.

Has anyone replaced the seat tracks on a bench seat? Suddenly my passenger side doesn’t want to latch and nothing I do will latch it. I have access to a million bench seats I just don’t know about swapping the tracks.

David, I'm in NC and experience some of the same possible overheating issues in slow idling traffic..
I used the 19" Pontiac 7 blade Hayden heavy duty clutch fan, 160 fail safe thermostat, and I removed the ( reduced flow)6" underdrive aftermarket crank pulley and replaced it with the original ( high flow)8" crank pulley .Now 172- 183 slow traffic idling). Pontiac 470 10.4 compression, solid roller engine.

Congrats on reaching this milestone and realizing your dream. At around 100 miles you should be ready for your for first fill-up.
