It is beyond me how many goons paint their engine the wrong color. Not a day goes by I spot one with an incorrect color. Truly unbelieveable. Such a fail.

There are 2 different OEM GM sizes as I found out. Now whether the longer one was 1977+ or perhaps for camaro I do not know.

Yeah once I looked at underneath again yesterday and saw the rear floor plugs painted that oxide primer color I was like no way. And where did the original steering wheel go while we are at it. Ha

Ok photos of GM pistons attached. I am no engine assembler, but just mic'ing them I get about 4.156 or so at the skirt and 4.078 at top.

Stock 455 block with these oem pistons had a 10 over bore...

Inline Tube REAR BRAKE DRUMS

Just an FYI on the new 9.5" rear brake drums sold by Inline Tube.

Bought some this year and the one center drum hole is 10 thou smaller than the other and does not clear over the oem axle.

Wow. So close to looking like a 71-73 in my opinion but as others noted just maybe some knob shrinkage on these so emblem is showing a slight recessed ridge below it. Kinda thinking it is the 74-76...
