When the former owner of my '73 paid to get it running again, they bypassed the leaking heater core and connected the two hoses using something like this...

Possible cause...

...of a collapsed upper radiator hose? Hose was replaced in 2012 when they got my 1973 Firebird Formula running again. Original radiator still, original cap. Was in normal shape after coming back...

I was looking at the pictures posted in #17 and #48, Both are of the '65 flywheel? Must be a 421 engine, I forgot they'd use the 11". I wouldn't have one of those.

Then, I looked in 1974 new model parts catalog. Under the M40 section of Group 4.342 it lists 6478177 as 65".

Appraisal from that company is worthless.

The opening was for accessories, door lock and/or defog. No filler like Trans Am's had.
I have an extra of that style, I just don't know what I would charge for it. Better of the two, I'm keeping.
