Can anyone advise if there is any difference between a new 68 fan shroud / guard that mounts to the top of the radiator core support and a used one?
New ones from Ames are around $48 but used ones...

All sorted, spoke with Ames and all good for rear drums with the parts they sent.
Have fitted them on the rear and no issues.

I don’t believe it will be flush with quarters if the latch is lifted but I am yet to try it out.
Just finishing the engine bay so I can get the rebuilt engine back in then will start to play around...

No the lid hangs down past the line of the adjacent quarter panel almost as if it is too long but is flush with each side and back.
I guess it is just a matter of playing with the hinges and latch...

I saw the Ames part but it is listed for wiper motor to firewall so I assumed it was not for the concealed wiper motor but rather the standard one.

My wiper motor has a round gasket on the motor that fits against the adapter plate.
Does anyone make this gasket as a replacement or do you just make one?
Everyone seems to only carry the gasket...

On both sides of the end of the trunk lid it does not line up with the quarter panel.
The top of the lid is pretty much flush with the sides.
Is this a case of just playing with the hinges using...

Received a Lares 201 rag joint and it is a 1 piece rubber joint rather than the reinforced rubber type.

I am rebuilding the brake drums on my 68 GTO and when stripping them down the self adjusting setup has been removed which means manual adjustment which is ok.
I have the self adjusting components...
