I have 3' flowmasters with dual 3" system coming off the headers of my 455 78 bird. I've never had a issue hitting but I have stock spring/ride height.

I used mandrel bent pipes and custom fitted...

header gaskets

I strongly remflex gaskets they are about 1/4" thick and crush down when the header studs/bolts are tightened. I have them on my Camero and Firebird and they are great. See www.remflex.com. ...

I have used POR15 for yearsand it works very well-good stuff, I never have had ant recuring rust.

painting floor pans

I have a rust bucket 78 bird that was given to me free 4 years ago. I had to weld in new metal into the floor in several places. Once that was done I painted both surfaces with POR 15. gloss black....

OK thanks everyone for the input, I'm going to SEMA so I'll talk to some of the manufactures. Hedman seems to get the most positive ratings though.
