Posted a reply that did not show up. I bought and adapter like Joe posted to balance my Weld ProStars. They are actually 3 piece the outer and inner squeeze on a center portion as lug nuts tightened....

WOT of the air valve tab was tweaked to be perpendicular throttle blades also. I was shocked on my fairly stock extra 73 SD Q jet the air valves do NOT open completely as the air valve spring hits...

I figured it was sitting there(the short block) so what the heck! and a 400 will hit softer with a stick than a 428 or 455! And I have a 33 spline 12 bolt ready also.

I think Tom S has a 557 block...
